Discover Georgian startup technologies during TechSummit 2019
02 3

On November 6-7, the capital city of Georgia will turn into a city of tech startups, all thanks to the TechSummit 2019 conference, which is organized by GITA, PAIH, FPT and FA. Representatives from Poland and Georgia will appear in front of a wide audience to create communication bridges among startup ecosystems from various environments. Also, prepare for young, local entrepreneurs who will present their innovative technologies during the Startup Battle Challenge competition.

Scheduled for November 6-7, the TechSummitwhereinnovatorsmeet event will bring together many young entrepreneurs from the Caucasian region and the neighbouring countries that develop innovative technologies. The main theme of the event will not only cover the development and support of (local) innovation or the potential of Blockchain technology in the public and private sectors, but also the cooperation of startups and large corporations.

During the event, Poland will be represented by members of public institutions:  Włodzimier Kuc – National Centre for Research and Development, Monika Łuczak – Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, Marta Georgijew (Department of Innovation MPiT); scientific and business circles: prof. Leszek Kotulski (Gradis), Magdalena Ostasz (INNO AGH). There will also be representatives of investment funds: TredecimAsset Management S.A., GT Technologies and ValueTechSeed, looking for startups they could not only cooperate with in the future and support in developing in Poland, but also invest in.

The Startup Battle Challenge, i.e. the performance of Georgian startups that will present their innovative solutions and products to Polish investors, will summarise the event. The winner will receive an invitation to hold a one-on-one meeting with the chosen investor in Poland.

The mission of the TechSummit 2019 organizers, that is GITA,  Foundation for Technology Entrepreneurship, Polish Investment and Trade Agency and FutureAdvantage is to create an ecosystem that will improve the development of innovative solutions in Georgia and other countries in the Caucasian region, as well as provide support in their promotion and commercialization in all fields of economy.

Our goal is to develop and support technology startups from Central and Eastern Europe (“CEE”), enabling them to quickly transform their innovative ideas into thriving businesses. This allows our corporate partners to gain a competitive advantage by gaining access to newly created technologies well in advance – said Magdalena Jabłońska, CEO at MIT Enterprise Forum CEE.
